WHAT\'S THE JOB?

Marek Hospitality is a Canadian company that specializes in providing on-site food services. Our teams of culinary and hospitality professionals share a passion for great food and service. We celebrate culinary achievement, encourage creativity, and challenge and reward our people for outstanding work. We are currently recruiting for a General Help to join our caf\xc3\xa9 team. This role will provide an exceptional experience, creating great food while going above and beyond for our guests.

The Position will...

• Assist within our Caf\xc3\xa9, Catering and Tim Hortons when needed.
• Assist in the preparation of food items to be cooked as well as creating ready to eat dishes such as sandwiches
• Make sure the caf\xc3\xa9 is fully stocked and customers are able to easily find what they are looking for
• Engage customers with exceptional customer service, accurately receiving and processing their orders while making them feel welcome
• Maintain the cleanliness of the location, ensuring a safe and sanitary dining experience
• Assist as necessary for any other duties that arise out of business needs
• Follow the policies and standards of Marek Hospitality while adhering to food safety/sanitation legislation

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The competencies and qualifications needed...

• Experience in food service and cash handling
• Certifications as required to comply with local Health codes
• Ability to lift (10kg.), pull & push heavy loads & be exposed to extreme temperatures
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
• A high level of attention to detail with organizational skills
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
