About the role:




The Food Services Associate performs dietary-related tasks such as food portioning, minor food preparation, including sandwich making, taking meal selections with patients, tray assembly, tray delivery, and soiled tray collection, ware washing, restocking pantries, general sanitation of the area, etc. Performs all related sanitation duties as per established procedures and WHMIS guidelines. The Food Services Associate role models the organization's core competencies.

What you bring:

Minimum Grade 12 education Dietary Aide course, cooking program, HACCP training, or Proton course is an asset Food service work experience preferred Food retail experience is an asset Demonstrated ability to read and write English and displays excellent communication skills Demonstrated ability to adhere to departmental and legislated health and safety standards Must be willing to work required shifts Safety awareness Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal Demonstrated problem assessment skills Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork Demonstrated individual leadership skills Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families, as well as other members of the healthcare team within a challenging and exciting healthcare environment.
