About the role.
In this position you will get the opportunity to prepare food in the kitchen and also take orders on the front line for McCain employees. This role works Monday to Friday from 6:00am - 3:00pm.
What you'll be doing.

• Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing and preparing sauces.
• Cook food items by grilling, frying, sauteing, to specified recipes and standards.
• Work with Cafeteria Lead to prepare for special meals/banquets based on McCain individual or team requirements on occasion.
• Ensure the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines.
• Work independently, ensuring that all kitchen facilities are kept clean, tidy, safe and presentable.
• Report any safety or hygiene concerns immediately.
• Determine food inventory needs, stocking and ordering from time to time.

What you'll need to be successful.

• Minimum of a high school diploma (or GED equivalent).
• Experience with kitchen equipment.
• Previous Food or catering/banquet experience would be an asset.
• Required to obtain food safe and WHMIS certification upon hire.
• Ability to work independently and produce high-quality food.
• Good verbal communication and team player.

Compensation Package: - Starting at19.16 CAD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
