Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving food in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Micros POS, for processing customer orders. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to sanitation guidelines. Assist with food handling and preparation tasks, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for sales. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Support kitchen staff in various tasks as needed, including cleaning and stocking supplies.

Requirements

Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing. Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively. Familiarity with sanitation practices in a kitchen setting is an asset. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and service.
