Job Posting: Ready For a Tasty New Challenge? Reporting to the Sanitation Leader-Supervisor, the Team Leader - Sanitation is responsible for the sanitation and organization of all equipment, machinery and utensils used in the production process as well as the cleanliness of the plant and external premises while providing hands-on leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-shift huddles and provides feedback for Team Members
  • Leads, coaches, mentors, and trains Sanitation Team Leaders
  • Coordinates all sanitation activities to accomplish sanitation practices according to Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP\xe2\x80\x99s)
  • Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation records
  • Leads sanitation personnel onsite and ensuring daily requirements/procedures are carried out
  • Conducts SWAP test as necessary
  • Ensures Sanitation Team members are adequately trained and works with contractor or internal supporting groups to resolves training if deficiencies are found
  • Creates a continuous improvement (Lean/Kaizen/5S) environment by improving products, service, and processes with the objective to reduce waste, improve cleaning effectiveness within the area while striving for efficiency and profitability within Sanitation
  • Locks out, dismantles, cleans and sanitizes production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience working in a sanitation environment with a proven track record of prior leadership experience
  • Must be a demonstrated leader who easily interacts with others and is adept at leading/motivating a team to meet demands
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication skills, along with simple mathematical abilities
  • Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a sanitation issue
  • Scissor Lift license is an asset
  • Familiar with internal and external inspections
  • Working knowledge of GMP\'s, HACCP, BRC & O.H.S.A required
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Post-secondary education an asset
