We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expediter to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment. The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared, organized, and delivered to customers efficiently and accurately. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food safety practices, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting.
Duties
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of food orders.
Organize and prioritize incoming orders for efficient workflow.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting area.
Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy.
Monitor food presentation and quality before it is served to customers.
Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
Handle cashiering duties when required, including processing payments through POS systems.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking processes is a plus.
Experience with POS systems for cashiering duties is desirable.
Excellent communication skills and teamwork mentality.
Must be able to maintain a clean work area at all times.
