Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to the dining area. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment where excellent communication and customer service skills are essential. Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The Food Runner supports the overall flow of service, maintains cleanliness, and assists with food preparation and handling as needed.

Responsibilities

Deliver hot and cold food orders from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately Ensure all dishes are presented correctly before serving Assist with food preparation and plating when necessary Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate order delivery Handle guest inquiries politely and professionally, providing excellent customer service Support bartenders or servers with additional tasks such as refilling supplies or assisting with food presentation Follow food safety standards and proper handling procedures at all times Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing when required Uphold cleanliness standards by assisting with general cleaning duties in dining and service areas

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Basic understanding of POS systems such as Micros POS or cashiering experience is a plus Experience with food preparation, serving, or meal presentation is desirable Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or dishes safely Hospitality or hotel experience, barista experience, or guest services background is beneficial but not required Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards guest satisfaction
