full-time Production employee

Production Employees are Responsible for:
Receiving, testing, grading and inspecting of raw materials used in the manufacture of various food and beverages;
Cleaning and sanitizing production facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and regulatory-compliant facility;
Food processing according to various proprietary company recipes and processes;
Packaging and labelling of finished goods, including the addition of appropriate date codes;
Maintaining product traceability of all finished goods;
Working with other members of the operations team to ensure that there are adequate supplies of raw materials, and finished goods to prevent stock-outs;
Monitoring the condition of our equipment and to facilitate its maintenance to ensure optimal life;
Suggesting and developing new product concepts and recipes, working with other team members;
Assisting those in the retail area when called upon;
Various administrative duties, related to the above;
Beneficial Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in food and consumer products production.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail. Ability to make deadlines. Punctual.
Ability to both give and take guidance.
SMART SERVE/Other certification, as required by the NSLC in the retailing and serving of beverage alcohol (company will supply)
Strong work ethic. Willing to take self-initiative on tasks needing to be done.
Willingness to work weekdays and the rare weekend.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and skill level. Company benefits are available to eligible employees.
