Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Production Workers to join our team at Bytown Catering in Ottawa. This role is vital to our mission of delivering top-notch food services by ensuring efficient production processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining our high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Operate packaging equipment and ensure proper packaging of food products.

Assist in the food processing operations while adhering to safety and sanitation protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area. Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals efficiently. Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations. Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed. Report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

Experience in the food industry or similar production environment is preferred.

Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards. 1-3 years of food service or kitchen experience (Bakery, Production lines, Restaurant, etc.) Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Experience with HACCP compliance an asset. Food handler's certificate is an asset.
We have multiple Production Divisions - Some employees require Reliability Level Government Issued Security Clearance.

Some Cold Production Rooms on premise.

We are open 7 days a week and candidate must be available to work on weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week
