Part-Time Kitchen Helper - Weeknight Shifts at a Bright, Chill Commercial Kitchen

Location: Little Piggy Catering Kitchen, Esquimalt

Shift: Monday to Thursday some fridays | 4PM - 9PM

(Shifts may start earlier during Nov-Dec based on production demand)

Pay: $25/hr, paid weekly (every Monday)

Seasonal Role: October through December

Who We Are :

We're Appy Hour, a local food company making handcrafted Cowboy Candy olives, Smoked Truffle Olives, and seasonal jellies. Everything is made in small batches at a bright, commercial kitchen in Esquimalt .

We're gearing up for the x mas season , and we're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to support evening production.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be trained to be self sufficient in , making our marinade , rinsing olives, smoking olives , packing and sealing product , and keeping the kitchen running smoothly. Tasks include:

Washing, smoking, and marinating olives

Bagging and sealing products

Making Cowboy Candy Olives + Tapanade / jarring + Smoking Olives using a custom smoker

Cleaning and sanitizing workstations and tools

Tracking inventory / labels for reordering

In November and December, shifts may start earlier (e.g. 2-3PM) and run longer depending on production volume -- especially around holiday markets.

Requirements

Previous kitchen experience is a must

Food Safe certification (valid or in progress)

Must be cleanly and highly organized

Able to lift up to 10kg (cases of jars, gear, etc.)

Vehicle not required, but helpful

Self-motivated and able to work independently
