We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations, with a focus on fruit drying. The ideal candidate will have millwright aptitude and people management experience. Experience in food processing, and quality and safety standards would be considered an significant asset. This role requires a strategic thinker who has the aptitude to operate and maintain complex mechanical systems while managing a shift crew as worker/supervisor. Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the plant, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and effectively.
Oversee the production team, ensuring adherence to our high quality standards.
Ensure our food safety and quality SOPs are followed and that the proper documentation is maintained
Train, mentor, and develop staff to foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.
Lead daily maintenance and operation of complex processing equipment.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues. Millwright experience a definite asset
Expereince in food safety and quality programs such as SQF and HACCP or similar systems.
Experience in implementing process improvement strategies within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
Strong analytical skills for assessing operational performance and making data-driven decisions.
