Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Preparation Worker to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the kitchen by assisting with food preparation and ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking. You will work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, contributing to a high-quality dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and chop ingredients as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors. Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment. Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages. Support the team during busy service periods by ensuring timely food preparation. Clean workstations and ensure that all kitchen tools are sanitized after use.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred. Familiarity with food handling safety standards is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with chefs and other staff members. A positive attitude towards learning new cooking techniques and improving culinary skills.
