Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Food Preparation Worker to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation of meals and ensure that all food handling practices meet safety standards. You will play a vital part in maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness and organization, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Follow recipes and instructions from chefs to ensure consistency in meal preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations during all food handling processes. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to supervisors. Support kitchen staff during peak hours by providing assistance where needed. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food preparation and safety.

Skills

Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Strong attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness and food presentation. Basic cooking skills with a willingness to learn more advanced techniques. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
