Summary

We are seeking a dedicated individual with Food Preparation skills and experience to join our team at Macchiato Caffe in Victoria. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional food service and maintaining high standards of food safety and organization. This can be either a part time opportunity 2-3 days a week, or potentially more full time, 5 days a week. Your contributions will help us continue to be recognized as one of the top places for a quick breakfast or lunch in the area. This is a unique food prep position, as you will also have plenty of opportunity for guest interaction through providing customer support to our customer service team as needed throughout the day. This position would suit someone who enjoys more guest interaction than typical work in a traditional isolated kitchen environment.

Responsibilitity

Prepare food items according to recipes and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times. Assist in inventory management and stock rotation. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Support customer service efforts by providing friendly interactions. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Participate in training sessions for new staff.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation or similar role. Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices. Strong time management skills with the ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork. Previous related experience is essential. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for inventory management and cash handling.
Please note: This shift starts at 6am, and is not compatible with someone working a second job late night.
