We are seeking a capable person to join our team to pack our fries, assist in managing finished goods inventory and shipping/receiving. The ideal candidate will have some experience with food products and a strong understanding of food preparation and safety practices. This role is principally 3 days a week a this time (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) approximately 8:30am to 3:30pm, with +/- 1/2 hour variations in start and finish times depending on the needs of the shift.
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen / packaging / warehouse workspace, including proper food storage.
Follow food safety guidelines and ensure all food handling procedures are adhered to.
Collaborate with other staff to ensure production goals are met.
Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed, including shipping/receiving as required if working the daytime shift.
Support the team in daily operations and contribute ideas for process enhancements.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment or food manufacturing is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
A valid food handler certification is an asset.
Capable of lifting up to 40lbs repeatedly, 50lbs periodically.
Will require steel toed shoes.

Pay: $17.75 per hour
Expected hours: 20 min. up to 44 hours per week if/when shift is scheduled
Target shifts are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8:30am-3:30pm, with potential to work additional shifts pending capability.
Education:
Completion of Secondary School minimum.
Experience:
Cooking: at least 1 year (preferred)
Shipping/Receiving: at least 1 year (preferred).
