Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our food service operation, responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling food preparation, cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong time management skills, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation.

Duties

Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, including Micros POS, to process customer orders accurately. Handle cash transactions with precision while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders. Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, kitchen, and dining spaces in accordance with sanitation guidelines. Follow food safety protocols to ensure all food items are handled properly and stored at correct temperatures. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food supplies and reporting shortages as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during peak hours.

Requirements

Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is beneficial. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is an advantage. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously with customers. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices in the kitchen. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with food service duties.
