About Mumbaiyaa Street Foods

Mumbaiyaa Street Foods is a vibrant Indian street food restaurant in Burnaby, serving authentic flavors from the streets of Mumbai. We're known for our friendly service, fresh ingredients, and welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for energetic team members who love good food and great customer service! The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in this role.

Responsibilities

Greet customers, assist with menu selections, and take food orders at the counter Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards Serve food and beverages for dine-in and takeout customers Handle payments and operate the POS system (Clover experience is an asset) Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales Assist with food prep and maintain cleanliness in the service area Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures comply with food safety regulations Restock items and support kitchen or counter staff as needed Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, kitchen equipment, and dining space Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change Support team members in maintaining a smooth workflow during shifts

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or customer service (preferred but not required) Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable, punctual, and friendly personality Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or moving stock Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Schedule

Day and evening shifts available Weekend availability preferred
