If you share our values and would like to work with skilled professionals, Armour is presently seeking a Food and Beverage Accountant.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Senior Financial Analyst, the Food & Beverage Accountant will provide financial & administrative support for Freehand Hospitality & other restaurants in Downtown Halifax via the process of posting sales, preparing reconciliations, and posting entries to the accounting system.



As Food & Beverage Accountant, you'll get to:



Prepare and post sales for multiple restaurants. Reconcile credit card & gift card payments recorded to actual payments received. Communicate daily with operational personnel to resolve discrepancies. Set up and maintain accounts receivable spreadsheets and reconcile to the general ledger. Create customer invoice(s) for events and verify with sales team. Create and verify charges between restaurants and hotel companies Prepare and reconcile money orders for restaurants and petty cash. Prepare and distribute bi-weekly payroll gratuity reporting. Prepare bank reconciliations and report discrepancies Analyse monthly PL's for discrepancies and any other issues that should be brought to the controller's attention. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Support Month-end and Year-End close process. Other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:



University degree or technical diploma with a focus in finance or accounting Minimum 1-2 years accounting experience. Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail Effective organizational and time management skills with a focus on achieving deadlines Prior experience in the food & beverage or hospitality industry is considered an asset
