Responsibilities:
Consistently follow CavernUs' brand guidelines and standards across all circumstances.
Stay up to date with wine trends, regional offerings, and member interests.
Attend training sessions and tastings to maintain and expand wine knowledge.
We foster a learning environment, and applicants must have a willingness to learn about wine and how it is made and served.
Serve wine following proper techniques, including decanting and glassware presentation.
Ensure all beverages are served at the correct temperature and promptly.
Educate guests on wine pairings, tasting notes, and the wine-making process when requested.
Assist in maintaining accurate wine inventory and storage standards.
Handle wine bottles, glasses, and tools with care to prevent breakage and maintain a clean workspace.
Ensure the lounge is properly set up before and after the service period.
Demonstrate a high level of menu and product knowledge to create curated dining experiences, and confidently assist with allergies and dietary restrictions.
Ensure compliance with food handling, safety, and sanitation standards laid out by Cavernus and Health & Safety requirements.
Prepare the food according to CavernUs standards in an efficient way.
Assist in enforcing Cavernus policies and the member Code of Conduct when needed.
Open/close down the service and club properly.
Maintain a presence at the front door during peak hours and assist with handling the front door, welcoming members/guests, and seating.
Experience:
Formal wine knowledge is highly recommended.
3 years of experience in a similar position
Certification in wine education (such as WSET or Court of Master Sommeliers) is a plus, but not required

Pay:
20$/hour + tips
