Job Description

Izakaya Shingen is looking for an energetic and competent server who is willing to learn, to join our team of servers!

Responsibilities:

Welcome guests brightly and prompt them to their tables. Take orders from guests and place them into the POS, and answer any questions and suggest recommendations about our food and drinks including providing Serve food and drinks to the tables efficiently. Prepare bills for customers when required. Bus tables in a timely manner, and place tableware for our next guests. Make simple cocktails and prepare other drinks, pour draft beers, and refill water jugs. Pack takeout orders and answer the phone in a positive manner. Troubleshoot restaurant issues such as complaints with a positive attitude. Stock drink canteens, napkins, chopsticks, and other service items. Sweep, mop, wash barware, clean bathrooms at the end of each night.

Experience

Minimum 1 year of serving or waitering experience is required.

Skills

Must have excellent people skills. Teamwork-oriented and conversational skills. Positive and outgoing attitude. Enthusiasm and energetic mindset. Attention to cleanliness at all times. Punctuality and flexibility is a must. Quick on their feet. Great communication skills between other servers and kitchen staff.
Certification: Smart Serve, SIR or equivalent required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$24.50 per hour
