Piatto Food and Beverage Servers Food and Beverage Servers are outgoing, friendly, and helpful individuals who want to create an outstanding guest experience. Food & Beverage Servers process orders and serve food & beverage items to guests, ensure guests are satisfied with their dining experience, process guest payments, and immediately handle complaints and concerns as they occur. Training dates TBD Responsibilities - Working as a team member to support the overall workflow and contribute to a positive environment for the team and guests - Deliver attentive and effective service by acting with a guest comes first attitude and making a genuine effort to connect with all guests - Understanding and being able to relay information about Neapolitan style pizza - Greeting guests with a smile and a hello as soon as they arrive - Directing as required for take out orders and dine in service - Bringing menus to guests, relaying features and answering questions that arise about food and beverage - Accurately relaying guests? orders and specific requests to the kitchen team - Ensuring guests are receiving the correct orders before delivering meals to the tables - Paying close attention to assigned section, checking in on guests regular - Have knowledge of common food allergies and dietary needs (ie- celiac, vegan, etc) - Being proactive and anticipating the needs of the cafe and guests - Strict adherence to all sanitization and operational protocol, as well as all health and safety regulations - Ability to gauge guests? preference and anticipate needs - Be familiar with menu and modification capabilities, along with daily specials and other information such as local suppliers used - Use proper serving techniques including the Stages of Table Service - Practice responsible alcohol service - Perform side duties to ensure adequate restocking of supplies - Cash out and reconcile cash on your end of day report - Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep restaurant operating to standard - Communicate pertinent information to your manager so that the team can respond as necessary during shifts - Handle complaints and concerns of guests - Act with integrity, honesty, and work to always promote the culture, values, and mission of Piatto Pizzeria and Enoteca Requirements: - Responsible Beverage Service Certificate (19+) -WHMIS Certificate - Ability to travel to work location (Avonlea Village, Cavendish) - Experience an asset Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
