The Cornwall Golf & Country Club (CGCC) is seeking an energetic, organized Food and Beverage Manager to lead all dining and beverage operations at Cornwall Golf & Country Club. This hands-on leadership role requires strong business acumen, advanced beverage knowledge and a passion for delivering exceptional member and guest experiences. The Food and Beverage Manager will oversee daily operations, lead the Club's food & beverage program, drive revenue and cost management initiatives and ensure every member experience exceeds expectations. The Food and Beverage manager will report to the Clubhouse Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations across all food & beverage outlets and act as Manager on Duty during peak shifts.
- Lead and manage the Club's full beverage program (wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, non-alcoholic offerings) including supplier relations, inventory, pricing and seasonal program development.
- Develop and manage schedules to optimize efficiency and service quality.
- Support staff recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training and real-time coaching.
- Deliver pre-service briefings and ensure consistent service excellence.
- Build strong member relationships and promptly address service concerns.
- Maintain up-to-date POS (Tee-On) and reservation systems.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and hospitality leadership.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment, leading by example.
- Promote and maintain Cornwall Golf & Country Club's Service Standards.
- Oversee monthly inventories for all outlets, ensuring accuracy, cost controls and reporting.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create cohesive food and beverage pairings, contribute to menu innovation and support member events with tailored offerings.
- Collaborate with the Events Coordinator to deliver seamless special events and tournament experiences, including customized beverage programming.
- Develop beverage training programs for staff, enhancing product knowledge, service skills and upselling.
- Manage departmental financial performance including labour costs, beverage costs and operating supplies, support forecasting and budget planning.
Monitor and analyze member feedback (including member surveys, comment cards and direct input to identify opportunities for improvement and implement action plans that enhance the overall dining experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in a service driven hospitality setting, private club environment an asset.
- University or College diploma in Hospitality is a definate asset.
- Provides a hands-on approach to training and leadership style, committed to developing and motivating the team to superior level of Member service.
- Proven experience leading a team.
- Organized, results-oriented, proven time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong track record of employee engagement and retention.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, team, communication and coaching skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment maintaining composure and objectivity with member and team.
- Smart Serve certification required, mixology, bartending or hospitality training is an asset.
- Experience managing staff, schedules and service standards in a dynamic, multi-outlet environment.
- Strong leadership and team development skills with experience in training and mentoring staff.
- Proven ability to manage labour costs and support departmental budget goals.
- A warm, professional demeanor and a passion for hospitality excellence.
- Available to work nights, weekends and or holidays as required.
Salary Details
- Annual Salary from $60,000 to $75,000.
