For Taste of Edmonton Events hiring. The Food Service Worker plays a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our customers. This position involves various tasks related to food preparation, service, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about food service, possess strong customer service skills, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
Assist customers with their orders, providing excellent customer service.
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety of all food products.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and inventory management.
Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patrons.
Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods.
Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory tracking.
Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere while also being self-motivated.
