Focus Forward Mentor (Central & Western New Brunswick)
The Employment Division of Key Industries is seeking an Essential Skills Mentor for the Central & Western Region of New Brunswick! In this position, the successful applicant will be responsible for mentoring local Employment and Support Services Program (ESSP) agency staff in Essential Skills Methodology. The Mentor will also create and facilitate demonstration lessons to participants of the essential skills program. This is an excellent opportunity for an adaptable individual who is passionate about facilitating to diverse populations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Mentor staff of ESSP agencies in your region in Essential Skills Methodology
  • Create and facilitate demonstration lessons to clients of ESSP agencies
  • Coordinate with ESSP agencies in your region to determine a schedule conducive to the needs of each agency
  • Collaborate with agency staff to determine specific content needs and create resources to obtain desired outcomes
  • Continually research and update demonstration lessons to provide relevant program content
  • Provide ongoing support to ESSP agency staff who have completed ES modules
  • This role requires a valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and the regular use of your own reliable transportation
  • A Criminal Background Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and Driver\xe2\x80\x99s Abstract required

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, or related field preferred
  • Experience and knowledge in working with diverse populations
  • Experience in public speaking and presentations preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage schedules effectively
  • Understanding of Adult Learning Theory and Facilitation experience
  • A strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of workplace environments and schedule changes
  • Flexible thinking and innovation in creating learning materials
  • Adept in building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Reliable
  • Time management
