Flotation Operators

Position Overview
As a Flotation Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the flotation circuit within the process plant. You will monitor and maintain process parameters, ensure compliance with safety standards, and contribute to achieving production targets.
This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow standard operating procedures, and effective communication with the team.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor flotation cells, pumps, reagent systems, and related equipment.
Perform shift start, hourly, and end-of-shift verifications, including safety checks, equipment condition, and process performance.
Collect and log metallurgical samples and ensure accurate process data entry.
Adjust reagent dosages, air flows, water additions, and cell levels to maintain optimal flotation performance.
Inspect froth conditions, densities, pH levels, and troubleshoot deviations using established procedures.
Communicate issues or process changes with supervisors and other plant operators.
Maintain clean and safe work areas, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
Report incidents, hazards, and equipment malfunctions promptly to supervisors.
Assist in troubleshooting flotation circuit issues using established troubleshooting charts.
Qualifications
Previous experience in mineral processing or industrial operations preferred.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to SOPs.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and operate equipment effectively.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work shift rotations.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Steel-toed Boots, Work Gloves, and Protective Clothing.
Use of communication radio or satellite phone as required.
Training
On-the-job training provided, including review of SOPs, sampling procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Must demonstrate competency in flotation operation before working independently.
