Job Description

We are looking for a Floral Designer to add to our team! We are looking for someone who is creative, strong work ethic, excellent customer service and a passion for floral design. We are a busy fast paced flower shop located in St Albert. This job is for an experienced designer in a retail flower shop with a minimum of 3 years of design experience. Someone who understands the daily requirements of receiving, processing and maintaining flowers and the physical demands that go along with working in a flower shop. Must have a flexible schedule as we are open 6 days a week. Some Duties Include But Not Limited To: - Flower Processing, preparation, cleaning & organizing - Designing: skills to create hand-tied bouquets, vase arrangements, cooler arrangements, and wedding, funeral & event floral experience would be an asset. - Coordinating deliveries - Customer service tasks; responding online / phone inquiries and in person inquiries and preparing floral quotes. - Daily tasks are required; sweeping, daily cleaning, washing & sanitizing buckets & cooler, prep work, and any other daily requirements. Qualifications: - 3 Years of Floral Design Experience - Ability to efficiently manage design costs - Multi tasker - Team Player - Comfortable with computer POS systems, email and other Microsoft office programs. - Organized, detail oriented, punctual and efficient. - Able to handle pressure of working in a fast paced environment Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay

• St. Albert, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Florist Design: 3 years (required)
