Title: FloorhandReports to: Driller and supervising crew memberLocation of Operations: Horizon Drilling operates in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.General Summary of Position: The Floorhand position is deemed to be a "Safety Sensitive" position due to the proximity of heavy industrial machinery. The Floorhand, also called Roughneck, is one of the starting positions on the drilling crew. The Floorhand assists the other crew members in their day-to-day duties and is responsible for keeping the rig site clean and performing basic maintenance. Assisting in the repair and maintenance of rig equipment will be a key responsibility of this role and you will work all around the rig and rig floor to perform these daily duties. In this role, you're required to learn how to use wrench-like tongs and be able to connect and disconnect drill pipe during the tripping-in/tripping-out and drill ahead process.Position is full-time seasonal. Seasonal work is based on operational requirements, project schedules, weather and environmental conditions and other factors outside our control.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
