Responsibilities

The Floor Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the floor is stocked, clean, and priced. That all customers are greeted and helped. Ensuring all staff are productive and welcoming.

Advise customers on appropriate merchandise and related items; processing transactions (cash, credit card, debit card) using retail software; ticketing and replenishing merchandise, cycle counting; general housekeeping of shelves, loss prevention, merchandising, restocking and staying current with trends in the industry. Ensures the tasks/expectations provided by the Assistant Manager are followed/completed. Reports directly to the Assistant Manager.

Qualifications

Ability to supervise 4-10 staff members.

o Give direction on daily tasks.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.

o Must be able to open store as early as 6:30 am or close as late as 8:15 pm.

Friendly and helpful attitude toward customers.

Excellent communication skills.

High School graduation or equivalent.

Willingness to learn.

Good mathematical skills.

Prior retail experience beneficial.

Creative abilities for making attractive in-store displays.

Willingness to continually develop professional skills and knowledge base.

Ability to work co-operatively in a team atmosphere.
