Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of retail sales processes. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, promoting products, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage time efficiently will be key to your success in this role.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs in the showroom. Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction. Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product offerings to provide accurate information to customers. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and enhance the overall shopping experience. Organize merchandise displays and ensure the sales floor is clean and well-stocked at all times. Manage time effectively to balance customer service responsibilities with other tasks throughout the shift. Demonstrate expertise on product information and give recommendations by assessing customer needs Guide customers through the entire sales process ensuring they have a positive and seamless experience. Measure and assess areas for floor installation, providing accurate quotes for customers including product costs, installation fees, and any additional services Collaborate with the installation team to coordinate and schedule flooring installation. Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and displays are up to date Stay informed on industry trends, installation techniques, new products, and competitor offerings. Maintain relationships with clients through follow-up calls, ensuring customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat business

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not mandatory. 5 years of sales experience, preferably in floor sales or related field Knowledge of various floor covering options (e.g., carpets, hardwood, vinyl, tile) Proficient in Microsoft Office and other sales software for transaction processing and record keeping Ability to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Outstanding customer service skills with a customer-centric approach Highly motivated and organized individual Team player with an enthusiastic attitude Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing change accurately. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers; multilingual abilities are a plus. Familiarity with technology sales or related products is advantageous. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques.
