We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management and possess excellent leadership skills. As a Floor Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining the overall efficiency of the restaurant environment.
Duties
Supervise daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service.
Train and develop staff in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
Manage inventory control and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate POS transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise during service.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food production and quality standards.
Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the restaurant.
Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new staff members.
Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling practices.
Experience with inventory control and budgeting in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality management.
Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team effectively.
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems
Previous experience in fine dining, casual dining, or quick-service restaurants is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
