We are seeking a dependable, hard-working

Flood Technician

to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has experience in water damage mitigation, fire/smoke restoration, mold remediation, or related fields. Familiarity with truck-mounted extraction units, Sani-Tech systems, and industry-standard cleaning equipment is a strong asset.

Key ResponsibilitiesMitigation & Restoration

Perform water damage mitigation, including water extraction (truck-mounted & portable units), structural drying, and dehumidification. Conduct fire and smoke damage restoration, including cleaning, deodorization, and debris/materials removal. Complete demolition, debris removal, and disposal of damaged building materials as required.
Site Management

Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas in compliance with WorkSafeBC and company safety standards. Operate hand and power tools safely for basic repairs or assistance to in-house carpentry/repair teams. Ensure equipment is kept clean, serviced, and operational, report issues promptly.
Documentation & Communication

Complete moisture mapping, monitoring logs, daily progress notes, and equipment tracking. Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and co-workers. Work on multiple job sites daily, adapting to changing priorities and conditions.
On-Call / Emergency Response

Participate in the on-call rotation, which may include evenings and weekends. Respond to emergency call-outs to provide immediate mitigation services.
Qualifications & SkillsExperience & Training

Previous experience in water/flood mitigation, restoration, construction, carpet cleaning, janitorial sanitation, or related work. IICRC certifications (WRT, FSRT, AMRT, etc.) are an asset--but not required. Knowledge of truck-mount extraction, Sani-Tech sanitation systems, or similar equipment is a strong advantage.
Skills & Attributes

Strong understanding of restoration principles, drying techniques, and moisture control (or willingness to learn). Ability to use common hand and power tools safely. High attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures. Strong customer-service mindset with professional communication skills. Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to safe work practices. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments.
Requirements

Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with clean abstract. Clean criminal record check (as it relates to employment). Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts. Must complete and submit a daily timecard and required documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
