We are seeking a dedicated and skilled float Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing exceptional support to both the dental team and our patients.

Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures
Sterilize and organize instruments, maintain infection control standards
Prepare treatment rooms for patients
Take and process x-rays (if HARP certified)
Provide excellent patient care and comfort
Support front desk duties as needed (appointment flow, patient coordination)
Adapt to different tasks depending on the day's needs
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for use
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
Record patient medical histories and update treatment plans in the system
Provide education to patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Manage patient scheduling, including appointments for orthodontics and pediatrics
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix and Epic for patient records management
Support the front office with receptionist duties when necessary
Requirements
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred
Proficient in using Abeldent or similar dental practice management software
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
