Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Float and Supply Teacher to join our team. This role is essential in delivering quality early childhood education that emphasizes nature exploration and hands-on learning. Located in Simcoe County, this position plays a vital part in shaping young minds and nurturing their connection to the environment.

This opportunity includes fixed part time 3-4 hour shifts daily (Monday-Friday) with the opportunity to extend these hours in the event of additional support required due to teacher absence.

Responsibilities

Follow and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate nature-based learning. Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative educational experience. Assess and document children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs. Support children with special needs or disabilities through tailored educational strategies.

Requirements

Experience in Early Childhood Education or related field. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children and families. Experience working with young children in an educational setting. Knowledge of special education practices is an asset. Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
