As a Flight Safety Officer at L3 MAS you will:
Under the supervision of the Manager of the Quality Assurance department, the Flight Safety Officer assumes the role of the quality department representative. He or she works in collaboration with various external, internal customers and co-workers to support and monitor of the requirements of the flight safety and quality management system in accordance with the needs of MAS and its clients or regulatory agencies.
To achieve this, you will be called upon to:
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Manage the flight safety programs;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Conduct investigations and reports following an incident;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Promote education and awareness in flight safety and participate in the detection and prevention of hazardous conditions;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Carry out product and/or service monitoring to ensure continued compliance to the technical requirements and quality standards;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Suggest improvement solutions related to the execution of the work, training and documentation or others;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Be the liaison between the organization and customers or external auditors for flight safety points;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Provide support and collaboration to teams working on the implementation of corrective and preventive actions by identifying the root cause and developing practical solutions;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Participate in continuous improvement projects and contribute to improvement efforts through process monitoring, investigation and causal analysis.
Required Skills and Experiences:
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7College degree in an aeronautical field or related technical discipline or equivalence experience;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7At least five years of pertinent experience in aviation;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Knowledge and experience relating to military aircraft and the maintenance of military aircraft (eg CF18, CT114 etc) is mandatory;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Knowledge and experience in civil aircrafts and civil aircraft maintenance (asset);
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Knowledge of repair and inspection techniques for aeronautical components;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Knowledge and experience with civil or military aviation safety programs, eg TC-SMS and CF AGA-135 (mandatory);
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9110 standards;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Experience with quality assessment tools such as root cause analysis, trend analysis;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Versatility, ease of adaptation, sense of planning, ability to implement ideas in a simple and effective way;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Excellent skills for teamwork, collaboration, communication and interpersonal relations;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Sense of initiative and good judgment. Autonomous and able to work with minimal supervision;
\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Able to write clear and coherent reports;
