About The Opportunity

The role involves being the main contact for external travel partners, managing relationships with diverse travel products, negotiating contracts, and collaborating across teams. Responsibilities include addressing operational challenges, presenting the company\'s value to suppliers, achieving performance goals, and attending events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external travel partners, encompassing Air and Non-Air contacts, as well as diverse Travel products such as Lounges, Cruise, Airlines, Tour Operators and occasional support for the Mexico market.
  • Develop and cultivate key industry relationships to enhance FCTG\'s market positioning and operational efficacy.
  • Skillfully handle the receipt, processing, and negotiation of contracts with industry partners, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration to facilitate the consensus-building process for commercial and operational strategies.
  • Provide assistance to FCTG\'s operations teams, addressing escalations, operational challenges, training requirements, and fostering improved relationships between external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Present and continuously update the value proposition of our brands to suppliers, showcasing the benefits of collaboration and maintaining alignment with our evolving business landscape.
  • Consistently achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to commercial success, operational efficiency, and relationship management.
  • Skillfully oversee supplier co-op funds, marketing funds, and incentives, ensuring equitable and judicious allocation.
  • Attend supplier events on behalf of FCTG, serving as an ambassador for the organization; occasional travel will be required, necessitating a valid passport at all times.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned from time to time to contribute to the overall success of FCTG.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience in partner relationship management, contract negotiation, or the travel industry.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel 2-3 times a month, serving as a representative of the organization at various supplier events. A valid passport is essential at all times.
  • A committed team player, dedicated to fostering collaboration, open communication, and contributing positively to the overall team dynamics.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in all interactions and representing the company\'s values.
  • Proficiency in building and expanding professional networks, especially within the travel industry.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the travel industry within North America (Canada and USA primarily), including both Air and Non-Air segments, Travel products (Airline, Hotels, Lounges, Parking).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information effectively to both internal teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating contracts with industry partners, achieving favorable terms while maintaining the organization\'s objectives.
  • Proven ability to establish and nurture key industry relationships, leveraging them to advance the strategic goals of the company.
  • Strong aptitude for cross-functional collaboration, enabling consensus-building on commercial and operational strategies.
  • Adept at swiftly addressing operational challenges, providing solutions, and managing escalations in a proactive manner.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data, trends, and performance metrics to achieve and exceed commercial, operational, and relationship-based KPIs.
  • Skilled in effectively presenting and updating supplier value propositions, aligning them with the organization\'s brands and evolving market dynamics.
  • Experience in judiciously managing supplier co-op funds, marketing budgets, and incentives to ensure equitable distribution and maximum ROI.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a track record of consistently achieving and exceeding targets and KPIs.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving business landscape, adapting to changing responsibilities and priorities as needed.
  • Proficiency in English and any additional languages, particularly French or Spanish, would be advantageous.
