Position Summary Flight Attendants are ambassadors of safety and customer service onboard each Perimeter flight. Perimeter Flight Attendants take pride in putting their best foot forward to offer a safe and comfortable environment for all passengers; they make an immediate and lasting positive impression. Personal Characteristics \xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills \xc2\xb7 Must have a positive attitude and work well unsupervised \xc2\xb7 Be able to handle stressful situations in a calm and effective manner \xc2\xb7 Be a team player \xc2\xb7 Be conscientious and confident \xc2\xb7 Have a can-do and will-do attitude Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities \xc2\xb7 Participate in crew briefings and obtain necessary flight information \xc2\xb7 Conduct preflight checks of the aircraft and ensure that all emergency and safety equipment and commissary are prepared for flight \xc2\xb7 Make safety and service announcements/demonstrations \xc2\xb7 Prepare cabin for take-off, landing and monitoring inflight \xc2\xb7 Offer a selection of snacks/beverages and ensure the safekeeping of revenues obtained during flight in an organized/professional manner. \xc2\xb7 Provide leadership, direction and assistance to passengers and colleagues \xc2\xb7 Cabin preparation and grooming \xc2\xb7 Pre-flight and post flight paperwork \xc2\xb7 Stock and re-stock the aircraft commissary \xc2\xb7 Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and all regulatory requirements \xc2\xb7 Be able to handle stressful situations in a calm and effective manner \xc2\xb7 Ability to successfully complete a minimum three-week initial training program including written and practical exams \xc2\xb7 Sensitivity to the unique environmental, cultural and business needs of diverse northern cultures and communities \xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned Minimum Required Education and Experience \xc2\xb7 High School diploma or equivalent \xc2\xb7 Minimum 1-2 years Customer Service experience \xc2\xb7 University/college experience an asset \xc2\xb7 Inflight Institute CT-201 course is an asset (not a requirement) \xc2\xb7 Must be fluent in English; additional languages an asset Working Conditions \xc2\xb7 Must be willing to work flexible hours, up to 14 hour days \xc2\xb7 Must be willing to work weekends and statutory holidays \xc2\xb7 Travel required \xc2\xb7 Must be eligible to work in Canada. \xc2\xb7 Must possess a valid Passport \xc2\xb7 Must be able to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program \xc2\xb7 Ability to meet aviation medical standards We thank all applicants for their interest in this position, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
