JOB SCOPE
The Flight Attendant is responsible for the safe conduct of the flight, passenger comfort, and inflight service. Flight Attendants must ensure that the operational requirements of every flight are fulfilled in accordance with the Flight Attendant Manual. The Flight Attendant is responsible to the Flight Attendant Manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Ensure standard operating procedures are in compliance with Transport Canada requirements and Pivot Airline's Flight Attendant Manual;
Work independently without supervision and work well with others in a team environment;
Maintain Pivot Airline's flight culture by delivering exceptional customer service and hospitality when serving meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks;
Maintain compliance with uniform standards;
Assist passengers with their needs, including stowing carry-on items which may include pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and carrying;
Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers;
Accountable for cash handling;
Maintain and replenish commissary onboard and organize service trollies as per inflight service standards procedures;
Avoid causing unnecessary delays to the departure of any flight;
React and respond accordingly to all emergencies;
Manage and communicate to all crew members any unusual circumstances;
Maintain a calm, dignified manner which will exude confidence and competence;
Display mature, honourable, and pleasant conduct on aircraft whether working, dead-heading, or traveling as a passenger;
Report to the Flight Attendant Manager any circumstances or malfunctions of equipment they or a passenger may observe that may affect the safety of the flight, willful withholding of such advice will be considered extremely serious;
Carry personal copy of an up to date Flight Attendant Manual on all flights while on duty;
Ensure compatibility and teamwork with crew members, colleagues, airport, and maintenance staff;
Actively promote safety and quality within the organization and department by encouraging employee participation in SMS and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders;
Comply with all SMS and safety policies, processes, and standards;
Any additional duties assigned by the Flight Attendant Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma required, post secondary an asset, aviation studies preferred;
Two years of customer service experience;
Legally entitled to work in Canada;
Travel unrestricted both domestically and internationally;
Must be able to meet Transport Canada Security requirements;
Minimum age 18 years;
Ability to communicate in French is required, additional languages an asset;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills;
Thrive in a fast-moving environment, with high tolerance for change;
Flexible and willing to work irregular hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends;
Maintain a valid Passport and travel documents;
Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
