Job Description

Polyson Polyethylene Products (1986) Ltd. is a family-owned manufacturer with over 40 years of excellence in polyethylene packaging products in the Greater Toronto Area. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Flexographic Pressman to join our production team and operate our high-speed 8-colour wide-web flexographic presses.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and maintain 8-colour wide-web flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality polyethylene film and packaging. Perform make-ready (impression, registration, ink mixing, colour matching, and precise press adjustments) to achieve consistent print quality across multiple colours. Monitor print quality throughout the run, making real-time adjustments to meet customer specifications. Troubleshoot mechanical/quality issues quickly to minimize downtime. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on press equipment. Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily/weekly output targets and deadlines. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Flexographic Pressman (minimum 2 years on wide-web, multi-colour flexo presses; 8-colour experience strongly preferred). Strong knowledge of flexographic printing processes, inks, substrates, colour management, and registration. Ability to read and interpret job specifications, artwork, and colour proofs. Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and able to work shifts (day/afternoon available). Forklift certification or willingness to obtain is an asset.
