The Smurfit Westrock Mississauga facility is looking for a

Flexo Helper Starter

to work with the Press/Printing team on the night shift. This position is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the printing press.

How you will impact Smurfit WestRock:

Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety policies. Obtain and understand production docket according to print schedule. Ensure all appropriate supplies are at the press - ink, plates, stock, etc. Assist Pressman in the mounting of plates, sleeves, anilox rolls, die if applicable. Comply with all SOP's and Quality Procedures. Cleaning of ink chambers. Changing anilox blades. Topping up ink chambers with fresh ink. Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

Minimum of 1 year experience working in a manufacturing or production industry Experience working with Radius and Microsoft Office (ie. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) considered an asset. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to stand and walk 100% of shift on a concrete floor and ability to lift 40 pounds. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals. Must be able to maintain good attendance.

Shift Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 1030 PM to 730AM Friday off Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods. Shift premiums apply to afternoon and night shifts.
