General Overview of the Job
This position is a four-month term starting immediately and may be extended depending on operational need.
The Fleet Technician works as part of a team to repair and maintain the Airport snow removal equipment and fleet. This position is responsible for maintaining various heavy equipment to ensure safe and available runways and surfaces throughout the airport. This position is full-time and requires working variable shifts and hours to facilitate operations.
The Things You Will Be Doing
Diagnose, repair, adjust, overhaul, maintain, and test airport mobile heavy-duty equipment.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation of fleet assets.
Safely lift and move equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
Accurately complete work orders and maintain service records.
Our Requirements
Certified Journeyperson: Heavy Equipment Service Technician.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Transport Canada Security Clearance.
Additional Skills That Are Important for This Role
Automotive, truck, and transport repair experience.
Valid Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Experience working in an airport or transportation environment

Important Details
This position is located at our Airport Operations Facility in Dieppe, and reports to the Senior Manager, Airside Operations. The starting rate of pay is $37.44 per hour, with a 2.5% increase after six months, and another 2.5% increase after one year. The role is part of the collective bargaining unit (UCTE) for the Greater Moncton International Airport Authority (GMIAA).
