Together we are working with Nova Scotians to build a better future through sustainable natural resource management as we all benefit from the natural health and wealth of the province.About Our OpportunityAs the Mechanic 3, you will be responsible for outfitting, repairs, and maintenance on Natural Resources & Renewables fleet of light duty vehicles and equipment (snowmobile, ATV\'s, UTV\'s, utility trailers, fire trucks as well as road vehicles). Vehicles/equipment must be safe, reliable, and available.In this role you will report to the Fleet Service Coordinator.Primary Accountabilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and perform major and minor repairs on the departments fleet vehicles and light duty equipment.
• Inspect, outfit, and commission new vehicles and equipment prior to releasing into the field.
• Maintain a current knowledge of products, techniques and technology in a diagnostics and repair by participating in courses, demonstrations, and through reading materials such as trade journals
• Provide feedback on a regular basis to the supervisor on the operational performance of the automotive shop.
• Motor vehicle inspections.
• Must maintain all required OH&S certifications as you must ensure a safe workplace and are responsible for your own safety and the safety of all others in the workplace.

Qualifications and ExperienceThis may be the right opportunity for you if you have a Red Seal in Automotive Service Technician.The successful completion of training and knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, First Aid and WHMIS would also be considered assets.
