Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fleet Operations Coordinator to manage the day-to-day logistics and documentation of our truck and trailer fleet. This role is essential for maintaining fleet readiness, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the overall efficiency of our transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities



Fleet Coordination:

Plan and coordinate daily truck and trailer movements, including scheduling, dispatching, and assigning vehicles to meet operational needs.

Maintenance Oversight:

Work with internal mechanics and external vendors to schedule and track routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure vehicle safety.

Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain precise and up-to-date records for all fleet assets, including: Vehicle registrations, permits, and renewals. Maintenance and repair logs. Driver-vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs). Accident and incident reports.

Data Management:

Utilize fleet management software and telematics systems to monitor vehicle performance, track fuel consumption, and generate reports on fleet activity and costs.

Customer Support:

Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing their questions and concerns related to vehicle issues, schedules, and compliance requirements.

Administrative Support:

Assist with administrative tasks such as processing invoices, managing day to day requests, and coordinating the acquisition and disposal of fleet assets.

Required Skills and Qualifications



Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a fleet, logistics, or transportation-related administrative role.

Organizational Skills:

Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.

Technical Proficiency:

Competence in using fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Industry Knowledge:

Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other relevant safety and compliance standards.

Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, vendors, and management.

Problem-Solving:

The ability to independently address and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
