Mayfair Industries Inc. has been servicing Prince George and Northern BC for 50 years. Located in Prince George, we are a locally owned and operated company, specializing in plumbing, heating, HVAC, electrical, and industrial projects.

We are currently seeking a motivated Red Seal Automotive Mechanic to join our team as our Fleet Mechanic. We are looking for an experienced technician to manage and maintain our 30+ fleet vehicles plus trailers and ensure they are operation safely and efficiently.

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week).

You can pick your own schedule! We are prepared to offer a standard 8-hours per day

Monday-Friday

work week or four 10-hour days per week, either

Monday-Thursday

or

Tuesday-Friday

Requirements:

Collaborate with the owners and management staff to schedule repairs and preventative maintenance, order parts, and maintain the availability and functionality of vehicles for our field staff.

Ability to work independently to perform a variety of automotive inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

Ability to use vehicle diagnostic software.

Maintain accurate service records and documentation for each vehicle with the assistance of our administrative staff.

Respond to emergency repairs or road calls when needed

Keep work area clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards

Apply all applicable provincial, and related, local safety requirements to all assigned work.

May be required to perform other duties and responsibilities.

May be required to perform other trade related work as needed.

Must have a valid class 5 driver's license.

Additional Considerations:

There is potential for the successful applicant to be registered for a second trade, depending on performance and company needs. Already having a second trade qualification or apprenticeship (Plumbing, Gasfitting, Electrical, HVAC, Welding, Millwright, Pipefitting, etc.) is considered a strong asset.
