Fleet Maintenance Assistant

Job Description
As our
fleet maintenance assistant,
you will perform various tasks related to maintaining our fleet of trucks and trailers. The following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, other tasks may be assigned as needed.The first priority for this position is completing equipment inspections in our yard and ensuring the reports are filled out accurately. Assisting in maintaining the fleet by performing inspections, oil changes, checking tires , and repairing lights as required. You will also assist in all aspects of mechanical repairs in our shop or on the road as required. Identifying and reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly. Cleaning and organization of your work area which includes your service truck. Maintaining accurate records of all preventive maintenance. be available for service calls.
This position may be of interest to someone in, or wanting to enter the heavy duty mechanics trade. Sponsorship will be offered in the apprenticeship program.
A minimum class 5 license and reliable transportation to and from work is required.
A class 1 or 3 license would be an asset in this position.
Start time for this opportunity is 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Occasional Saturdays may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
