Summary
We are looking for a
Fleet Electrical Manager
with advanced skills when it comes troubleshooting, as well as design / build of electrical components, motor starters, PLC/VFDs and Automation. We strive to achieve the highest quality workmanship on all projects.
Responsibilities
Optimize APG equipment efficiency, ensuring interchangeable components are utilized where applicable.
Accurately maintain stock of electrical components
Communicate with Equipment Manager regularly to ensure ALL equipment specifications and quality control requirements are being met.
Maintain clean safe work site and equipment
Participate in equipment commissioning and test running/troubleshooting
Comply with all workplace safety practices and ensure co-workers follow same.
Assist in all general labour duties as required and directed by Equipment Manager & Operations Director
Perform routine inspection and repairs on all APG electrical equipment
Perform major repairs to equipment as required and directed by Equipment Manager / Operations Director
Troubleshoot electrical issues on APG job sites, as well as in a Shop environment.
Design / build APG electrical enclosures and motor starters as needed.
PLC / VFD Experience is considered an asset.
Practice proper LOTO procedures as per APG's policy.
Ensure APG equipment is compliant with CSA standards (centrifuges and control buildings)
Requirements
Red Seal Journeyman Electrician with Minimum 5 years experience.
At least 3 years of experience in Industrial Electrical
Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Experience with PLCs/VFDs is an asset.
Willingness to work overtime when needed.
