The Opportunity
We are currently hiring a Full-Time Fleet Dispatcher / Driver Manager at our Headquarters in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Trappers Van Asset Fleet Operations on a set schedule working 4 days on / 4 days off in a dispatch / asset / driver management capacity. They will work with co-workers and customers to problem solve existing issues and improve operational efficiency while providing exceptational communication to internal and external stakeholders.
Duties
- Receive and prioritize incoming calls from customers and drivers
- Dispatch drivers to designated locations based on customer requests and driver availability
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Monitor driver progress and provide updates to customers as needed
- Utilize phone systems and transportation management systems to track and manage orders and assets
- Perform data entry tasks to update driver schedules, customer information, and order details
- Analyze freight requirements and determine appropriate transportation methods
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other team members to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction
-Ensure Fleet KPI's are managed and met. Utilization, and WorkFlow compliance
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
-Highschool diploma or (GED)
-Business / Logistics- Diploma / Degree considered an asset
-TMW Truckmate experience or similar software considered an asset
-2 years experience (You must have real commercial transportation dispatch experience to be considered for this role)
-Exceptional problem solving and time management skills
-Ability to manage & prioritize the daily responsibilities using mukti-tasking skills.
-Strong skillset with Microsoft word, Excel & Outlook
-Ability to function in a fast- paced work enviroment
