Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of freight handling, commercial driving, and the operation of heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our products throughout the transportation process.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a safe and efficient manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed to ensure optimal performance. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving and freight transportation.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Experience in freight transportation and heavy equipment operation is preferred. Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided. Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques is advantageous for maintaining vehicle performance. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
