Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled DZ Flatbed Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, as well as the ability to operate heavy equipment and manage freight logistics.

Deliveries will be for stores in Cobourg and the surrounding area. Any applicants must have a valid DZ license and a clean driving record. Driver abstract required.

Duties

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment, ensuring proper handling of freight. (Moffett experience an asset but not mandatory.) Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Experience in freight transportation and heavy equipment operation is preferred. Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
