We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and carpentry, with the ability to work effectively with hand tools and perform heavy lifting. This role requires attention to detail and the capability to read blueprints, ensuring that all roofing projects are completed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain roofs using various materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles.
Inspect roofs for damage and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively throughout the roofing process.
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation according to specifications.
Perform caulking and sealing of roofs to prevent leaks and water damage.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines.
Adhere to safety protocols while working at heights and on construction sites.
Assist in other maintenance person tasks as required to support overall project completion.
Requirements
Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is preferred.
Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment relevant to roofing tasks.
Strong carpentry skills with an understanding of construction principles.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed during roofing activities.
Familiarity with blueprint reading is essential for accurate project execution.
Previous maintenance person experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are required.
