DeFord Contracting Inc. is looking for an experienced

Flagger

for Civil Construction city projects in and around the Greater Edmonton Area. DeFord is a leading contractor in Edmonton, Alberta, specializing in municipal road projects, subdivision land development, parking lots, and other key infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely through construction zones Communicate effectively with equipment operators and crew members to maintain site safety Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices (cones, signs, barricades) Monitor traffic patterns and adjust flagging strategies accordingly Report any safety hazards or incidents to the site supervisor Perform basic labor tasks as required when not actively flagging

Qualifications:

2+ years' experience of Flagging and Traffic Control for civil construction/road construction Strong awareness of safety regulations and situational awareness Must possess good communication and ability to follow direction Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 or 1 considered an asset) with a clean driving Abstract.
